San Francisco & Bay Area
Brand & editorial photographer in San Francisco
I photograph people, spaces and objects for founders, artists and independent businesses in San Francisco and the Bay Area — photographs with a point of view, made for how you’ll actually use them.
Each commission is quoted to your brief: what you need photographed, the production involved, the deliverables and where the images will appear.
Personal studies of rooms and details, showing how I see interiors and objects.
What a commission can cover
People
Founders, makers and the people behind the business, in their own space.
Spaces
Shops, studios, cafés and bars: the rooms that tell your story.
Objects
Products and details, photographed in real light and in context.
Planning a brand shoot in San Francisco
- Built around your brief
- Tell me what the photographs are for — a website, a launch, a menu, press — and I’ll shape the proposal around it.
- In your space
- We can photograph where your business lives, during the day or after hours with flash. Location planning is included.
- Clear usage
- Your quote reflects the deliverables and how the images will be used, so you know what you’re getting before we book.
Neighborhoods & settings for brand shoots
Brand stories often start in your own space. When a shoot also needs the city around it, these neighborhoods and settings are full of character — a starting point, not a fixed list.
Independent neighborhoods
Valencia Street · Mission
Cafés, bars and bookshops with lived-in storefronts.
Hayes Valley · Hayes & Octavia
Boutiques, design shops and tree-lined blocks.
Clement Street · Inner Richmond
Restaurants, bakeries and long-running local shops.
Irving & Judah Streets · Sunset
Neighborhood storefronts in soft, foggy light near Ocean Beach.
Texture & backdrops
Dogpatch · Central Waterfront
Warehouses, workshops and industrial streets for makers and studios.
Jackson Square · Financial District
Brick buildings and quiet historic blocks.
Clarion Alley · Mission
Murals for a bold, colorful backdrop.
Ocean Beach · Outer Sunset
Wide sand and sea light for outdoor and lifestyle products.
After hours
North Beach · Broadway & Columbus
Neon, old bars and cafés after dark.
Your space after closing · Wherever you are
Bars, restaurants and shops photographed with flash once customers leave.
Across the Bay
Oakland & Berkeley · East Bay
If your business is across the Bay, we can shoot there too.
Commercial photography in city parks needs a permit applied for at least five business days ahead, so we’ll plan around your space and the streets nearby.
You don’t need to know how to pose.
01 / Before
We talk about the mood, the place, and what you want to remember. Bring references if you have them; we can find a direction together.
02 / During
Gentle direction, room to move, and time to settle in. We work with daylight or flash to create the feeling we’ve imagined.
03 / After
I select and edit the photographs into a cohesive collection, with attention to color, atmosphere, and the details that make them yours.
Questions
- How much does brand photography cost?
- It depends on the brief, production needs, deliverables and usage. Send a short description and I’ll reply by email within three business days with a project quote.
- Do you photograph on location?
- Yes. We can photograph in your own space, anywhere around San Francisco and the Bay Area.
- Can we shoot after the business closes?
- Yes. After-hours shoots with flash suit bars, restaurants and shops, and keep your space free for customers during the day.
- Do I need a finished brief?
- No. A few sentences about your business and what the photographs are for is enough to start; we can refine the details together.
